Richard "Dickie" Peltier...



Dickie Peltier photo Richard "Dickie" Peltier... Vocalist, Musician, Songwriter...is a native of Port Arthur, Texas. Born August 19, 1956, he is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School. Dickie has two brothers (Johnny & Chris), three sisters (Brenda, Linda & Cindy), and two children (Jason & Candy).

He started playing guitar at the age of ten, playing in bands around 1968, and began singing professionally in the early 70's. He has played Rock, Country and Blues. In addition to guitar, Dickie also plays piano, harmonica, fiddle, drums, bass guitar, and cabasa.

His hobbies, beside music, include fishing, studying the Bible, and outdoor activities such as gardening. Favorite Artists include Johnny Winter, T-Bone Walker, Freddie King, Hank Williams Sr., Otis Redding, Tommy Bolin and Elmore James.

Dickie and his band members (Dick E and The Tornado's) have opened for Acts such as Delbert McClinton, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Mickey Gilley, Rodney McDowell, B.B.King, Black Oak Arkansas, T.Graham Brown, Boogie Kings and others. He has performed in clubs across Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Minnesota, Colorado and Florida. Dickie and the band have also performed in many major cultural and Heritage Festivals.

Catch him and the band live when you have an opportunity...although that may be some time in the future. Dickie is currently working with a Contracting Company helping in the re-building of Iraq.
